Plastic & Glass Transparent Harsh Environment ITO Heater Windows

Diamond Coatings specialize in the design & manufacture of quality ITO Heater Windows on plastic and glass substrates. Optimal LCD display performance very much depends on temperature. In very cold environment or at low temperatures, they can therefore suffer low response times and/or potentially a loss of functionality.

Optimal LCD display performance very much depends on temperature. In very cold environment or at low temperatures, they can therefore suffer low response times and/or potentially a loss of functionality.

Offer well established transparent heated window solutions, Diamond Coatings use Conducting Transparent Oxide Coatings to maintain your displays’ optimal performance even within the most demanding of operating environments.

Typical Transparent ITO Heater applications operating within harsh environments:

  • Flight Deck, Cargo Area & Hanger Lighting
  • Naval Flight Deck Equipment
  • Command & Control Screens
  • Industrial Control Screens
  • Military Periscopes
  • Boat/Marine Windows
  • Ground Vehicles
  • Helicopter Windscreens/Canopy Windows
  • Agricultural Equipment Control Panels on
  • Large Portable Generators’ LCD Display Panels
  • Public Information Displays (External)
  • Glass & Polycarbonate Security Camera Domes

Diamond Coatings can provide full design assistance to help determine the parameters required to achieve all of your application’s target performance criteria in terms of both heater functionality & optical performance.

Diamond Coatings can vacuum deposit ITO Coatings to any sheet resistances (starting as low as 2.5 Ohms/Sq) in our state-of-the-art vacuum coating plants and can therefore design Transparent ITO Heaters specifically for any area requiring to be heated.

Optimal conductive ITO coating thicknesses and sheet resistances are calculated to achieve the necessary power density to provide optimal heating uniformity & the best possible optical performance and light transmission.

Able to design & vacuum deposit onto both curved and flat substrates to create a Transparent Heater Window, Diamond Coatings also has the ability to vacuum deposit heater & EMC functionality ITO Coatings onto polycarbonate or glass domes.

While the primary functionality of Transparent ITO Heaters on plastic and glass substrates is heating, they can, in addition, be further enhanced with additional EMC Filter, Anti-Reflection and/or coatings for Index-Matched coatings to reduce reflection & further optimize the application’s optical performance.

Diamond Coatings can provide a range of quality Silver Busbar (a highly durable frit busbar fired in silver to which connection wires can be soldered) connection options, including options for glass substrates.

We have full capabilities to provide additional aesthetics requirements such as, for example, any required logo, additional graphics or decorative borders.

Why Use ITO Float Glass?

Obviously, with Float Glass being the most commonly used of all glass types, there will always be a requirement for ITO Float Glass.

The Uses Of Conductive Glass

Conductive glass really is a thing… glass that has the ability to conduct electricity! This sounds pretty cool on the face of it, but what are the uses of conductive glass? Read on!

Indium Tin Oxide Coated Glass

Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) is a fantastic substance that has two characteristics that make it ideal for a number of applications: Firstly, it is optically clear, and secondly it is electrically conductive.

Why use Interactive Touch Film?

You may not know what an interactive touch film is, we are going to break this down so you have a better idea of exactly why you would look to use interactive touch films.
